Tracking Global Careers
One of the original ideas of interpool was to place international university graduates with globally operating companies. Today, entry-level placement of international young professionals has given way somewhat to the search for more experienced management candidates. Nevertheless, our strategic and personal goal remains to integrate international talent from colleges and universities into the globalization process of companies.
Over two million students worldwide study "abroad" today, 250,000 in Germany alone. These potential candidates are mobile, career-oriented, have often completed several degree programmes and speak at least two languages fluently (most speak three or more). They know the process of acculturation, they know the markets and have contacts in the country in which they studied as well as in their home country.
In order to direct our pool of talents also towards mid-size companies, we maintain an international network of contacts which includes over 100 colleges and universities, mostly in Germany. More and more, candidates with relevant professional experience can be found completing post-graduate programmes as well as through alumni-networks. We send our job listings to these colleges and universities, participate in job fairs or expand our network of contacts through presentations.
