Country Manager Colombia (m/f) for
International Market Leader B2C and B2B
Position
For its expanding sales operations in Colombia, currently through distributors only, our client is looking for a Managing Director / CEO in charge of establishing and developing an independent subsidiary in the country. In this position you will report to the Group Sales Director at headquarters in Germany. Building up and managing a team starting with around 6 - 8 employees (with around 35 – 40 employees targeted in two years time), this exciting position will be responsible for
positioning and establishing a strong sales and marketing structure organized through direct sales as well as dealer development, expansion of after sales activities, strong advertising and marketing campaigns
hiring, managing and developing employees, structures and processes with a drive for continuous and ambitious growth - both in sales and profit,
contributing to a comprehensive and customer driven product management strategy regarding products and overall services (technical, financial etc),
representing the company towards customers, trade associations, communities of operation, business partners and within global corporate management bodies,
participating in the preparation of the annual sales and marketing budget and giving recommendations on price, discount and credit lines along with company guidelines and budget,
working closely with colleagues in the various departments other Latin American subsidiaries and Germany.
Qualification
This high profile position requires a technical or commercial degree as well as at least eight years of prior sales and management experience, ideally in commercial durable / semi durable businesses (like construction or material handling equipment, tools and vehicles, building material, outdoor and gardening devices and the like). Prior international work experience and fluency in English and Spanish is required, a background both in B2B and in B2C sales and marketing processes would be desired for the job.
Personally you pursue a creative, yet structured and reliable way of work with pronounced competencies for building and sustaining long term client and employee relations. You are target driven and pro-active, you possess excellent presentation and negotiation skills, and you enjoy working within an international, high quality, customer oriented and complex commercial environment.
